Privacy policy

Who is responsible

Altaïra, 9, rue des États-Unis, L-1477 Luxembourg, is responsible for the personal data collected on this site. Contact: contact@altaira.eu.

What we collect

Only what you send us through the contact form: your name, your email address and your message. We use no audience-measurement script and no advertising tracker. Like any website, our hosting provider keeps technical logs (IP address, page requested, date and time) to keep the site secure and to count visits; we do not use them to identify you.

Why, and on what basis

To answer your request and, where relevant, to prepare a possible engagement (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR), or on the basis of our legitimate interest in replying to messages we receive (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

How long we keep it

12 months after our last exchange, unless an engagement follows, in which case the legal retention periods apply.

Who has access

Only Altaïra. Messages sent through the contact form are not stored on the site: they are delivered by email to contact@altaira.eu. Our hosting provider, ALWAYSDATA SARL (European Union), and our email provider, Proton (Switzerland, a country the European Commission recognises as providing adequate data protection), process them on our behalf, under a data processing agreement. We never sell or share your data.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its use, or to receive it in a portable format, by writing to contact@altaira.eu. You can also lodge a complaint with the Luxembourg data protection authority, the CNPD (cnpd.public.lu).

Cookies and local storage

The site sets a single technical cookie, which remembers the language you chose. Your light or dark theme choice and whether you have already seen the home page animation are stored in your own browser and are never sent to us. None of these is used to track you, so no consent banner is needed.

Changes

We may update this policy. Last update: 9 October 2026.
